February 2017 | ARTI has been awarded the design and consulting services for the marine works within the Hulhumale Phase II Development Project, initiated by the Government of Maldives. The Hulhumale Project aims to create an artificial island for residential, commercial, tourism and industrial purposes. Phase II of the project adds 240 hectares of land to Phase I, which was completed in 2002.

ARTI’s scope of work includes the design of residential canals, marinas and harbours, beach areas and quaywalls for the new island. Read more about the project at:

August 2016 | ARTI has been selected by the winning contractor to develop all construction and detailed designs of Filyos Port. Construction of the third biggest port of Turkey, Filyos Port, is about to commence. Located along the Black Sea coastline, this multi-cargo port will include container, bulk and general cargo terminals. Two massive breakwaters and berths exceeding 3.0 km in length will be constructed. Total dredging across the navigation channel and the basin will amount to 15 million cu.m.

ARTI Proje has been selected by the winning contractor to develop all construction and detailed designs of the port structures. Our engineering team is excited to be taking on another challenging and monumental project.

May 2016 | ARTI has been selected as the Lender’s Technical Advisor for the new Derince Container Terminal project. ARTI Proje has been selected as the Lender’s Technical Advisor for the new Derince Container Terminal project. Derince Port had been privatized via a BOT model in 2014, on the condition that the existing facilities would undergo an extension to reach a container throughput of 1.5 million TEUs. After completion of master plans, the engineering design works for the port are ongoing, with construction works about to commence. ARTI Proje’s services to the Lenders will cover the entire duration of the construction period, with an option to extend the services into the operation period.

April 2016 | ARTI has been awarded the feasibility and basic design studies for the new cruise port in Mersin. ARTI Proje has been awarded the feasibility and basic design studies for the new cruise port in Mersin, a southern Mediterranean city on the coast of Turkey. The cruise port project aims to attract more marine traffic into the area and to boost the tourism potential of the region. ARTI Proje already has significant experience in the region, most recently providing the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality with engineering services to develop and upgrade city’s magnificent 6 km-long waterfront.

February 2016 | ARTI is now providing consulting services to the Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality for the new Bandirma Port Project. ARTI Proje is now providing consulting services to the Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality for the new Bandirma Port Project. The scope includes planning and engineering works to develop the second largest port of Turkey. The multipurpose port will have an extensive liquid bulk terminal to serve a chemical industrial area to be located in the port zone. The Port of Rotterdam has already signed a MoU with the Municipality to investigate the opportunities to develop the port jointly. This collaboration has the potential to lead to new port governance model applications in the country.

January 2016 | Public voting to decide on the design of a bridge connecting the Lale (Tulip) Island on the Aegean Coast of Turkey. Public voting to decide on the design of a bridge connecting the Lale (Tulip) Island on the Aegean Coast of Turkey to the mainland town of Ayvalik was recently completed. The local municipality asked the public to vote for their favourite of three bridge design options, with the overwhelming majority choosing a design inspired by the rocks found in the region.

By replacing the existing impermeable, road built many decades ago, the bridge will enhance the water circulation and overall water quality. The new design will also allow passage of boats and will significantly reduce sailing times to nearby islands.

ARTI Proje is designing the bridge and providing marine engineering consulting services to the Municipality.

August 2015 | Epique Island Project was launched with a big party. One of our latest waterfront development and marina projects was launched with a big party last week in the world-famous Turkish town of Bodrum. In the real estate development project known as Epique Island, the developer Aksoy Holding will be constructing 75 villas, a top-class marina, boutique hotel, artificial beaches and many more. For the launching party itself, we prepared and installed a large floating platform that can allow 500 people on board to enjoy a Pink Martini concert.

ARTI Proje has been providing master planning and design services for the waterfront facilities, beaches and the marina at Epique Island for last two years. We will be continuing our involvement in the project during construction phase.

July 2015 | The consulting works for the expansion of Derince Port Container Terminal. We signed a contract with SAFI Holding for providing consulting services during master planning and design of Derince Port container terminal expansion.

Being one of the major ports of Turkey in Marmara region, Derince Port had been privatized in 2014. The expansion project includes modernization and capacity increment at existing facilities as well as construction of a new container terminal for annual throughput of minimum 1.25 million TEU’s.

June 2015 | We entering into a busy summer season with on-going construction works. Following a winter period which saw several new beach and waterfront development projects, this summer will be a time to commence construction activities of completed designs. The construction of the marina in Albania started recently with the first phase focusing on the residential canal section of the project. The Petronas Harbour in Turkmenistan is nearing completion. In another Caspian region project, Dragon Oil’s harbour upgrade design works have been largely completed and first piling works will commence very soon.

May 2015 | Design works of a new pier in Sefine Shipyard. ARTI signed a contract for design works of a new pier in Sefine Shipyard. Vessels upto 100,000 DWT will use the berth and 40 ton capacity crane will be operating on the pier. On the pier also heavy duty bollards will be installed to be used in pull-tests of the new vessels.

September 2014 | We are moving to a new address. As of October 1st, our head office will be moving to a new address: Key Plaza, Sisli, Istanbul.

August 2014 | The design and consulting works for the upgrade of Hazar Harbour berths. ARTI Proje Consulting Ltd. has been awarded the design and consulting works for the upgrade of Hazar Harbour berths. The harbour is presently owned by Dragon Oil, a Dubai based Oil Company operating the offshore fields in Cheleken area located in the Turkmenistan section of the Caspian Sea. Within the scope of the project, nine existing berths will be upgraded for capacity increment and new berths will be constructed for heavy load out operations. Construction works in the harbour are being undertaken by EPIC Contractor ILK Construction.

July 2014 | New Power Plant by EMBA Electricity Production Inc. ARTI Proje Consulting Ltd. has been awarded the design works of marine terminal at new power plant by EMBA Electricity Production Inc., a partnership of Shanghai Electric Power. ARTI Proje will prepare designs for app. 1800 meter long jetty, reclamation zones and cooling water intake / outfall system of the plant.

April 2014 | Power generation started at Erzin Power Plant. AKENERJI announced offical start of power generation by 14th of April at their new Erzin Power Plant. ARTI Proje Ltd. had provided design services for the offshore parts of the plant, including all hydraulic-environmental modeling and structural design of cooling water intake and discharge system components. ARTI worked both at FEED stage with AKENERJI and later with GAMA POWER SYSTEMS during implementation-construction stage.

May 2013 | Completion of the beaches for D-Hotel Gocek and Maris. The new beaches are now complete and welcoming guests. Please find further information regarding our services for beach construction and rehabilitation for tourism facilities here.

December 2012 | We commenced the stream remediation and coastal restructuring project for D-Hotel group in Gocek. We commenced the stream remediation and beach nourishment project for the D-Hotel group in Gocek. The project involves going through the coast of Dogus Group’s new D-Hotel in Gocek, remediation of the Yarılgan stream which flows into the sea to provide flood control and a restructuring of the hotel as a recreational area.

November 2012 | We commenced works on the port project for Bahar Energy. We commenced work on the port project for Bahar Energy, which is headquartered in Dubai. We are developing a port on an island to the South of Baku owned by Bahar Energy and used as a passage to its offshore platforms.

September 2012 | Habas Power Plant Seawater Intake/Discharge System We signed the contract for project and consultancy services for the cooling water system for the natural gas conversion power plant HABAS is planning in Aliaga, Izmir. March 2012 | Sefine Shipyard Located in Yalova, we signed the contract for the field restructuring and designs for a ship launching pier to be used in Sefine Shipyard’s new manufacturing.

October 2011 | Erzin Power Plant We will be providing Gama Power Systems with construction projects and construction consultancy for the coastal engineering areas related to the cooling water systems of the Erzin Natural Gas Conversion Power Plant, which is being carried out by a CEZ partnership. We provided FEED services for the same project prior to its tender.

August 2011 | Socar Star Refinery Within the scope of the Star Refinery sea terminal planned by Socar in Aliaga, ARTI Proje will provide services for the preparation of FEED level projects and tender documents for the 2 liquid and singular dry cargo jetties.

July 2011 | Candarli Container Port The construction of Turkey’s biggest and one of the world’s ten largest container ports, Candarli Container Port, commenced recently. Within the scope of the contract signed with the Limak-Kolin joint venture, ARTI Proje prepared the detailed design projects for the port.

With a final capacity of 10 million TEU, Candarli Port is an extremely important and at the same time challenging engineering project due to the importance it carries for the regional port sector and the technical difficulties the project invovles. Once known as Izmir’s crazy project, we are honoured to be taking part in this project with two of Turkey’s biggest contractors.

November 2010 | Petkim Port and Sea Terminal The implementation of new investments has begun at Socar Turcas’ Petkim facilities. In addition to a project to increase the capacity of the Petkim Port to transform it into a container port handling over 1 million TEU, work on a close to 5 billion dollar investment has begun with the refinery project receiving its license a few months ago. As per ARTI Proje’s new contract, ARTI Proje will provide the Socar Turcas group consultancy services for all the sea investments at Petkim.

Within the scope of these services, the planning of the structures for the refinery’s sea terminal, the drafting of preliminary projects and the preparation of tender documents will also be carried out in addition to work for the container port. We previously provided Petkim with the preparation of feasibility studies for the container port in 2009 and our technical consultancy services in project management for the company’s investments in the region have been continuing.

July 2010 | Iskenderun Port One of the region’s important ports, the TCDD Iskenderun port, is being put up for sale again via the privatisation tender to be held on August 5th. In addition to the increase of the port’s dry and general cargo capacity, the construction of a 400,000 TEU/year capacity container berth is included in the tender conditions.

During the tender period we are providing services which include the preparation of a general master plan, the preparation of the port’s expansion plans, capacity estimations and cost analyses to Turkey’s leading port investors and operators.
